Edwin Garro

Edwin Garro is Chairman of PXS Gobal in Costa Rica. As a lean six sigma specialist, Edwin has worked with many companies in their continuous improvement and problem-solving efforts.  Originally an engineer, Edwin’s interest in lean/agile methods grew as did his belief that organizations need to recognize that creativity is an important addition to the way they work.

Dwight Powless

Dwight Powless is an author with extensive experience in operations as a former operations manager and Aboriginal relations coordinator at Canada Post and at Algonquin College in Ottawa, Canada.  A Mokawk, originally from the Brantford area near Toronto, Dwight has embraced the Anishanaabe culture. Trained in lean practices, Dwight draws parallels between indigenous culture and continuous improvement.

Ruth Stanley

Ruth Stanley is an author and founder of Boann Consulting. A long-time public servant from Ottawa, Ruth has always walked to the beat of her own drum. Coming from a creative family, she has looked for new ways of doing things and different ways of knowing.  Her greatest pleasures are making words sing, data dance and people grow.

Tim Ragan

Tim Ragan is a business engineer and owner of Ottawa-based C-View Strategies. Tim encourages individuals and organizations to dream big and rediscover their greatness. His experience at the leading edge of technology and globalization in a volatile industry with wild swings of rapid growth and severe shrinkage give him unique insights on how to stretch yourself, discover your purpose and build enabling routines to help you achieve your greatness.

Book Excerpt

Oh no, another creativity book! But we need in the current crisis to talk about creativity and keep talking about it far into the future. If you are picking up this book, you probably want to change something and may be asking, “Am I creative and how do I know?” We have all heard time and again from others that they are not creative.  How can this be?  Is creativity not what makes us human? Whether you know it or not, you are capable of the most wonderful, original, and useful ideas. How do we know this? Four of us, from different cultures and backgrounds, got together to explore creativity.  We now understand that creativity is very personal and can take on an infinite number of forms. In this book, we share our thoughts and experiences with creativity; and, through a series of challenges, prompt you to get out of your comfort zone, explore, and find your own source or special brand of creativity.
